We are pleased to announce that the following Niagara Framework® versions for JENEsys Edge® controllers are now available and can be accessed via JENEsys Edge Software Downloads:
- Niagara 4.10u11 (available upon request)
- Niagara 4.13u3
- Niagara 4.14u2
- Niagara 4.15u1
Important Notes: Lynxspring’s policy aligns with Tridium’s practice of supporting the latest three Niagara versions of ProBuilder and Workbench for download. We have, however, also made Niagara 4.10u11 available due to a previously announced Java vulnerability that was resolved in later versions. Regarding Niagara 4.13u3:
This version was previously posted prior to the release of the JENEsys Edge 634. Since 4.13u3 remains one of Tridium’s currently supported top three versions, we re-released it to include the necessary files for the JENEsys Edge 634 controller.
Note:
- If a customer is using 4.13u3 and has added a new JENEsys Edge 634 device, they will need to reinstall 4.13u3 (or install a second instance) to ensure compatibility.
- The prior installation of 4.13u3 will not include the 634 files and will therefore not support commissioning of the new controller.
When it comes to security, we strongly encourage all Lynxspring customers to update their systems to the latest supported versions to mitigate risk. In addition to updating systems, Lynxspring recommends all parties review the Niagara Hardening Guide and implement recommended techniques for securing installations and to review the security dashboard for current installations that may have any warnings or errors. License Transfer Offer Tridium has announced a special, limited-time promotion that allows you to transfer your Niagara Framework® license from a JACE® 8000 (PC8000) to a JACE 9000 (PC9000) at a significantly reduced cost. Instead of purchasing a new JACE 9000 license outright, you can pay a license transfer fee only, saving on the full license price. This initiative is designed to help you prepare for the future, including Niagara 5, expected in Summer 2026. Note: Niagara 5 will not be supported on JACE 8000/JENEsys PC8000 hardware. To Qualify for This License Transfer Promotion: - Eligible Hardware: Applies only to JENEsys PC8000 and JENEsys PC834 models.
- Active SMA Required: Your PC8000 must have an active Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) at the time of transfer. The current SMA expiration will carry over.
- New Hardware Required: You must have a new, unlicensed PC9000 controller and SD card on hand to complete the process.
- Transfer Fee Applies: A transfer fee is required per license transferred.
- SD Card: When upgrading the SD card from the JACE 8/JENE PC8000 must be returned to Lynxspring.
